Picture This

Recently I was at a sleepover with a whole bunch of my friends. We did many things that night. One of the things that we did was watch lots of movies. We watch Picture This, The Hangover, etc. The movie that I really enjoyed was Picture This. Picture this is about a girl named  Mandy, who is a nobody. Mandy has a major crush on the most popular guy in school, Drew Patterson. At the beginning  like i said she is a nobody and she is doing all she can to get Drew to notice her. The first thing that she does to get him to notice her is she joins the swim team, but when she is walking by the pool she hits her head, falls in the pool and then Drew saves her and that is when he starts to notice her. Then a couple days later Drew asks Mandy to come to the "Legendary Patterson Party" with him. So she says yes. On the day of the party Mandy is grounded so she says she is going over to her friends house to study. They go to the mall to buy the perfect outfit but while they are at the mall, Drew's old girlfriend and her friends try to sabotage Mandy. Not only are they girls trying to sabotage Mandy, Mandy's dad is calling her every 30 minutes so make sure shes okay, and he calls her using video chat. So not only is Mandy getting sabotaged by the girls, she phone punks her dad every 30 minutes and she comes out in the end. Mandy makes it to the Party all right and there is a happily ever after. I really liked this movie. It was very girly and very corny, so if you are in the mood for a good chick flick watch this movie.

#2 More Mad, Marvy Confessions if Georgia Nicholson

In the 6th book of the Confessions of Georgia Nicholson series Georgie and her friend and family all go to america, or Hamburger-a-gogo land. Georgia is extremely excited to go to America because the half American, half Italian Stallion, Masimo is going to be in America. When Georgia is getting ready to go to America, she thinks that is is going to be exactly like England. But when she arrives in America she realizes it is totally different.  One of the first things that she thinks to her self is " I have not seen anyone who hasn't got a mustache. And frankly that is not attractive in a woman" (106). Georgia is completely surprised at how friendly the people are. " The receptionist(Candi) practically split her mouth in half, she was smiling and saying 'alrighty' so much"(110). Georgia is also surprised at how much the people eat in America. When Georgia was at the pool they ordered tea and ham sandwiches as a snack. When the sandwiches arrived, the" sandwich was made out of two loaves of bread, chips, a huge gherkin and a piglet" (112). All the humor in these books is why I enjoy reading these books so very much.

Reading Journal #1Confessions of Georgia Nicholson(series)

The quotes I am choosing to talk about are form the fourth book in this series, Dancing in my Nuddy-Pants. " I love my sister, I really do, especially when she is sleeping. I bent over to give her a kiss on her forehead. Without even opening her eyes she biffed me on the head and said 'Notty boy Gingey, notty boy'" (87). This book series is about a girl named Georgia Nicholson. Georgia has a 4 year old sister named Liberty, or Libby for short. Libby is quite a character, she is quite a crazy little girl. She runs around without clothes on, she dresses up and puts makeup on their cat, she is very funny. Seeing how she is only 4 she is in pre-school and can not talk quite properly, which is why she say naughty as notty. He favorite song to sing is "Baa baa bag sheet", and it later becomes "three bind lice." One time Georgia is taking Libby for a walk (she has to be on a leash or else she will run away) and they run into Georgia's crush. While Georgia is talking to him Libby climbs up on his motorbike and starts kissing his cheek, when she was done she said "Gingey did a smelly" (120). When I was reading this book all the parts with Libby in it made me laugh.

Nachi.B

As you know this year I am new to my school. I have made very many friends, but there is this one girl who is very unique. When I first met her she was very nice to me and never left me out, I think she was being cautious of me because I was a new girl. Her characteristics are; short, olive skinned and has pretty hair. She is very girly and likes stuff such as make up, nail polish, and magazines.

She always makes my day because like I said she is a very funny person. Now that we know each other better she is not so cautious about me being the new girl and stuff. She is from Latin America and she has the coolest accent ever. I often make fun of her accent because she does not always say things properly. But I think it is ok when I make fun of it because she doesn’t take too seriously because she knows I am only fooling around. Lots of times she always says she hates me and not to talk to her and she doesn’t love me, and I always just smile and hug her and shes like “Uhhhh get away from me” but I know she loves me J She is so silly that when I asked her what I should write about for my blog, she said I should write about her, so I took her advice and did!

Caissa!!!!

This year I made it into the Varsity volleyball team!! When the coach told me I was super excited that I was that privileged to be in varsity and only a freshman. So, just this past week for 4 days, my team and I went to the Dominican Republic to get our game on! It was super fun! We got to the DR on Wednesday but only started playing volleyball on Thursday. I got hosted by a 9th grade girl with my other freshman friend Vero, who my hostess called Varri. On Wednesday my host, her friends, Vero and I just chilled at my hostess’s house. She had a super amazing house! It was really big and pretty it had a pool and a ping pong table, etc.  At first my host was cool, but then as the days progressed she got annoying. She made Vero and I late every morning and late for curfew one night. I didn’t really like her much, and I don’t think she liked me very much; it’s a good thing Vero was there.
Games. On Thursday we started the games. First we had the opening ceremonies, with the whole host high school there and all the teams ( there were only 4). First the athletic director said hello and whatnot, the we stood for all the national anthems, then introduced all the teams and their coaches. One of the funniest moments was when they were introducing our boys team and they got to the boys coach (our tech teacher) and introduced him as Mr. Nile …… It was super funny. Then our games went well through the whole tournament. We were not un defeated though. I was really lucky because during the tournament I got “promoted” to a started in the front row, but then I got subbed out when I was in the back row.  Some coaches even came up to me from other teams and commented on how well I played, I felt really good! In the finals we played horrible. We kept messing up all the time but It was fortunate that the team we played was not as…advanced as us. We ended up winning the tournament even after how we played. I was really happy! My first Caissa in 9th grade at a new school and we win. I was super proud of myself and my team!

Glee

Last year at about this time of the year there was a new TV series that came out. This TV series was called Glee! As the year progressed many people all over the world became obsessed with this series, including my self. They came up with a name for the obsessed people. They named these people “Gleeks”. I can proudly call myself a Gleek. The TV series is truly amazing! Every week I cannot wait for the next episode to come out, and when it comes out I watch it as soon as possible(as long as I don’t have homework). The series is about a Spanish teacher, Mr.Shuester who decides to re-create the glee club, which he was in when he was In high school. At first only outcasts are in club but Mr. Shue gets more people, he tries to get more popular people like the head cheerleader and football quarterback to join the club. Which they eventually do. In this club they take songs and re create them and they have a assignment each week  and sometimes they have competitions. They take a song and then they present it to the class. In the class they mostly just have fun, with the class. For all you who don’t watch glee I highly recommend you do, even if your s boy. A few of my guys friends have watched it and liked it but they are to embarrassed to admit they watch it.

Halloween

Like I said in my previous post I am in Canada right now. It’s fall and it’s really pretty all the leaves are orange and falling. I have not been to Canada for fall in 9 years, its so sad L. Anyways the ambience of falls comes with Halloween! I love Halloween because I love dressing up in costumes, it the best part of Halloween, the candy is good too but dressing up id the best! I do love trick or treating though, especially when you are with a whole bunch of your friends and you just stay up late and have fun!
But what is really sad is where I’m living now they do not really celebrate Halloween outside of the school. In school supposedly it is a really big event. I was going to dress up at school and be a cheerleader, but I think that they day when we are supposed to dress up we have the volleyball tournament L But I do think that someone is going to have a Halloween party at their house. Someone had one last year but people said no one dressed up, because they didn’t have to. I was really sad when I heard that so I asked the person(who is my friend) if they can make it dress up? They said for sure! So for the Halloween party I’m going to be a vampire. Bite me J

Canada

This week is October break. It also signifies the end of the first quarter. Before school ended my Ancient Civ teacher told us that it was the first quarter of our high school life that was complete. He asked if it was significant or not, I didn’t really think that it was that significant. Anyways for October holiday I went to Canada! I am super excited to be here now! I am in Ottawa, Ontario, it is the first time I have ever been to this part of Canada I’ve only ever been to the west part of Canada. I’m super excited to be here I’ve been here two days and I’ve already have great times. I have 5 more days L, then I have to go back to school L
So far I have done a few things. Yesterday (Sunday) we arrived and then we drove around and went and saw the Parliament Buildings. They were super cool! What I learned about them is that the roofs are green because they were originally made out of copper and all the acid rain has turned it green. Just a fun fact for you guys ;) Today (Monday) we drove over to Quebec and went on this mini hike thing and saw a mill were a guy from the late 1800’s did a whole bunch of experiments about scientific stuff.  Then after that we went walking along this road and looked in some shops and bought some stuff it was really fun. I look forward to the rest of the week!

recomendation

“House of Night” by P.C Cast + Kristen Cast
This summer I read the first 3 book of the “House of Night” novels. I thought they were absolutely amazing! I very much recommend it to girl, I do not think that it would be a very entertaining book for a boy. These novels are about Vampyres. They are about a girl named Zoey who very early in the first book is marked by a vampyre. After she is marked she goes to a vampyre school where they teach you about becoming a vampyre. In this series once you are marked you are not automatically a vampyre  you are a fledgling. Your body goes through a change, then you body either rejects the change and you die or you body goes through the full transformation and you become a vampyre. Zoey is very special because she is only a fledgling but she had the tattoos on her face and body of a fully changed vampyre. She is also very unusual because she is the first ever vampyre to have and affinity for all 5 element, earth, water, fire, air and spirit. I have only read the first 3 books but I feel in love with the series and hope to get the rest of the series when I go back to Canada.

Family

When I go to Canada (which is every summer pretty much) we go back we go to a small town. We almost always stay with my Grandparents on my mom’s side. It can be really annoying at their house. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE them to death but they make me do so much work! They make me do the dishes, paint to fence wash the floors, once they even made me re-paint the pinecones, I mean come on seriously! We spend most of our summer with my relatives from my mom’s side, because they all live in the small town. My mom has one sister and her daughter is my favorite cousin. We are not very close in age (3 years apart) but she’s the one I’m with the most and I’ve spent the most time with. When we spend summer with my dad’s side of the family it is a totally different experience. With my mom’s side of the Family they are very neat and tidy and I guess you could say posh. They like to get things done and have a nice time being mellower. Whereas on my dad’s side of the family unlike my mom’s family they are very loud people. Especially when there all together and they are arguing about something. My dad says it comes from their Italian blood. It really fun to be around all of my family it is just very different experiences.
