Caissa!!!!

This year I made it into the Varsity volleyball team!! When the coach told me I was super excited that I was that privileged to be in varsity and only a freshman. So, just this past week for 4 days, my team and I went to the Dominican Republic to get our game on! It was super fun! We got to the DR on Wednesday but only started playing volleyball on Thursday. I got hosted by a 9th grade girl with my other freshman friend Vero, who my hostess called Varri. On Wednesday my host, her friends, Vero and I just chilled at my hostess’s house. She had a super amazing house! It was really big and pretty it had a pool and a ping pong table, etc.  At first my host was cool, but then as the days progressed she got annoying. She made Vero and I late every morning and late for curfew one night. I didn’t really like her much, and I don’t think she liked me very much; it’s a good thing Vero was there.
Games. On Thursday we started the games. First we had the opening ceremonies, with the whole host high school there and all the teams ( there were only 4). First the athletic director said hello and whatnot, the we stood for all the national anthems, then introduced all the teams and their coaches. One of the funniest moments was when they were introducing our boys team and they got to the boys coach (our tech teacher) and introduced him as Mr. Nile …… It was super funny. Then our games went well through the whole tournament. We were not un defeated though. I was really lucky because during the tournament I got “promoted” to a started in the front row, but then I got subbed out when I was in the back row.  Some coaches even came up to me from other teams and commented on how well I played, I felt really good! In the finals we played horrible. We kept messing up all the time but It was fortunate that the team we played was not as…advanced as us. We ended up winning the tournament even after how we played. I was really happy! My first Caissa in 9th grade at a new school and we win. I was super proud of myself and my team!
